The Thunderbird you find on the top of the website is the symbol of the Camp Parsons staff. Dating back to the days of the Native inhabitants of the Olympic Peninsula, the Thunderbird has stood as a symbol of a right of passage. Young Natives would venture into the heart of the Olympic Mountains in search of some sign of the Thunderbird to mark their passage into adulthood. The Camp Parsons Staff has adopted the image of the Thunderbird and it adorns the various jackets, sweatshirts, and other formal Staff uniform parts.
